DENVER, CO — Food trucks are fun different option from the classic night out at a restaurant. There’s a simple satisfaction from having the meal brought to you, and many trucks offer tasty alternatives to normal cuisine.

The Daily Meal recently released its list of “The Best Food Truck in Every State” and a Denver food truck took home the top spot in our state.

The food blog considered more than 20,000 trucks throughout the United States and scanned countless reviews from sites such as Yelp, Twitter and Instagram.

At the end of the process, Denver’S own Basic Kneads Pizza was named the top food truck in Colorado.

Founded nine years ago by three brothers, Basic Kneads Pizza serves slices with a special dough recipe made with 50 percent whole-wheat flour, Daily Meal researchers said. The dough is then aged for two days.

“Tomato sauce and cheeses are sourced as locally as possible and the pies are cooked in an onboard wood-fired oven and made to order,” Daily Meal researchers said.

Basic Kneads Pizza offers nine types of pizza in two sizes.
