ROANOKE, VA – The Roanoke Police Department is searching for a wanted man in connection to a bank robbery that happened Tuesday afternoon.

According to Roanoke police, officers responded to a report of a bank robbery in the 100 block of Campbell Avenue Southwest Tuesday at around 1:30 p.m.

Police were able to identify the man involved in the bank robbery as Stewart Jamison, 46 of Roanoke, however police have not yet located Jamison.

According to police, Jamison entered the bank and started speaking with a bank employee. He then presented a note to the employee declaring the robbery. Police say there was not any weapon scene or referenced on scene of the crime.

Police are still looking for Jamison and say he will be charged with robbery in connection with this incident once he is found.
